Peanut Sauce Traditional Balinese Recipes, Bali Cooking Class

Peanut sauce, also known as peanut sauce, is a Southeast Asian sauce known for its rich and complex flavor. This sauce is generally used as an accompaniment to dishes such as gado-gado, satay, or vegetable lontong. Here is a simple recipe to make delicious peanut sauce at home:

Material:
- 200 grams of peanuts, roasted and pureed
- 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon tamarind water
- 200 ml thick coconut milk
- Salt to taste
- Sugar to taste
- Chili powder to taste (optional)

How to make:
1. Heat sesame oil in a frying pan, then saute the garlic until fragrant.
2. Add the ground peanuts and stir well with the garlic.
3. Pour the thick coconut milk into the pan slowly while continuing to stir until evenly distributed.
4. Add sweet soy sauce, tamarind juice, salt, sugar and chili powder (if you want a spicy taste).
5. Cook the peanut sauce over low heat, stirring continuously, until the spices are absorbed and the sauce thickens.
6. Once cooked, remove the peanut sauce from the heat and serve as an accompaniment to your favorite dish.

Peanut sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for a longer shelf life. Have fun making your own peanut sauce at home and enjoy it with your family and friends!
